Affecting factors of mobile health care service usage and efficient utilization plan

Abstract
Objectives: This study aims to provide the possibility, limitation and improvement plan of mobile healthcare services, by understanding nationwide mobile phone usage of subjects between 20-69years.

Methods: We conducted a hierarchical regression analysis on the effect of the dependent variables, for intention of usage of internet health information utilization and mobile healthcare applications of mobile healthcare apps. The factors analyzed include chronic diseases, lifestyle factors, and information credibility, conducted under controlled socio-demographic characteristic conditions.

Results: Younger females with good eating habits, and having more confidence in conversing with doctors, showed a higher trust and intention for internet health information. Depending on their occupation, and their trust in internet health information, people tend to use mobile healthcare apps more frequently. However, charged mobile healthcare applications were used more by subjects in the higher age group, and having greater monthly family income.

Conclusions: Health competency needs to improve through various channels of health communication and by popularizing mobile healthcare apps. Social justice of health equity will be achieved by including the remote patient monitoring services in the health insurance benefits.
